The THPO office’s four departments work cohesively to protect the sovereignty of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. In order to continuously reiterate that the Seminole Tribe of Florida has been here since time immemorial, the four departments either conduct research or embark on awareness campaigns. Below are four projects that encapsulate some of the work the THPO office does outside of daily tasks.

The Seminole cattle tradition has been a foundational part of the Tribe for over five centuries, read about its legacy and the people who maintain it here..

The cultural landscape of the Seminole Tribe is highlighted with the visualization and narrative of the Big Cypress Historic Trails Network that crosses neighboring lands and connecting the modern-day reservations and Tribal communities.

The small island of Egmont Key sits in the mouth of Tampa Bay. It is home to a lighthouse, a state park, and a bird sanctuary.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s awareness campaign for the return of their ancestors from the National Museum of Natural History.

The STOF THPO Repatriation Committee is dedicated to the repatriation of all Seminole ancestors, associated and unassociated funerary objects, sacred objects and objects of cultural patrimony.
